Byrne Dairy has been part of the Northeast dairy industry since 1933, maintaining direct relationships with its farmers ever since. The family-owned company now operates three manufacturing facilities and two distribution centers, supplying conventional and organic milk, cream, and specialty dairy products to national and private-label customers including Walmart, Aldi, Publix, BJ's, and Costco.

A Rocky Start With a Managed EDI Provider

By 2016, Byrne had outgrown its existing EDI setup and turned to a managed EDI provider focused on retail. The implementation spanned approximately three years. After going live in 2019, Byrne experienced document failures and ongoing support challenges, including delays with mapping changes and difficulty onboarding new trading partners.

Switching to Cleo, They Launched a Seamless Go-Live, 15 Partners Strong

In 2022, as Byrne began migrating to Oracle Fusion Cloud, the team looked for an integration partner that would restore control over its EDI processes and translation tables while providing stronger support for partner onboarding and mapping. They chose Cleo. After going live with Oracle Financials in 2023, Byrne launched Oracle Supply Chain and Cleo together in August 2024, onboarding 15 trading partners simultaneously. One Platform, Every Document

Byrne uses Cleo's supply chain orchestration platform for its EDI operations, including orders, ASNs, invoices, and order acknowledgements. Warehouse documents and quality release files are next on the roadmap. Byrne is also working to bring non-EDI customer orders into Oracle Fusion Cloud using the same EDI API.
