As Cleo’s Chief Information Security Officer, Steven is responsible for shaping the company’s global security, compliance, and AI governance strategy. A security leader with more than 15 years of experience, Steven has built and led high‑performing security organizations across SaaS startups, high‑growth technology companies, and large enterprises.

Prior to joining Cleo, Steven served as CISO at DISQO, where he established the company’s enterprise security and compliance program from the ground up—achieving SOC 2 and GDPR compliance within 12 months and maturing security into a board‑level function. His career also includes senior roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he advised CISOs and CTOs on cloud security transformation, as well as leadership positions at TD Ameritrade, MAXIMUS, and Barclays. 

Steven has deep expertise in cloud security, AI security, and modern governance frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, GDPR, and CCPA. He is known for aligning security investments with business outcomes, accelerating enterprise readiness, and enabling organizations to scale securely. 

Steven holds a B.S. in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University and brings a proven track record of strengthening security posture, reducing operational and financial risk, and driving secure innovation at scale.
