Cleo Connect 2019 takes place this October and welcomes guest speakers Sam Hinkie, former president and general manager of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, as well as Charles Araujo, principal analyst at Intellyx.

Hinkie will speak at Cleo Connect 2019, which runs October 7-10th at the Orlando World Marriott Center in Orlando, Florida. Hinkie’s guest keynote, “Trust the Process: Using Analytics to Build a Culture of Innovation,” takes place on Oct. 8. Hinkie overhauled the entire 76ers organization by taking a long view of the rebuilding process. Hinkie stockpiled draft picks in order to gain a collection of top-level NBA players who, after a few years, have turned the 76ers into not just a playoff team, but an actual NBA Championship contender.

At Cleo Connect, Hinkie will show the importance of companies being more than simply innovative, but also learning to withstand the many misunderstandings that arise from disrupting old ways. Companies that do this, Hinkie says, can better develop analytical practices to benefit their organization.

On October 9, Araujo will give his presentation, “The New Digital Experience Supply Chain – and How it Will Transform Everything.” Araujo advises enterprises on how to best navigate in today’s modern world of disruption across their digital ecosystems. Araujo is the author of ‘The Quantum Age of IT: Why Everything You Know About IT is About to Change’ and the founder of The Institute for Digital Transformation, and a contributor to CIO.com.
