Many enhancements and new features were incorporated into the release of Streem 6.35, allowing for improved hardware and gateway functionality, increased integration options, and enhanced desktop faxing support features.
With the new version, users can take advantage of a variety of enhancements, along with new features including:
- Enhanced Master and Node Server communication
- Enhanced communication between multiple fax servers reduces the need for manual tasks.
- Enhanced Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes gateways for network faxing
- This new gateway requires no special software on the Exchange or Lotus Notes servers. In addition, the new gateway provides seamless integration with Outlook (or other Exchange clients) and Lotus Notes; including address books and contact lookup for fax numbers.
- Direct fax integration between Streem and Xerox multi-function devices .
- Streem directly integrates with any Xerox multi-function device that has scan to network capabilities providing a new method of integrating with Xerox devices that adds powerful capabilities for document management and other automated workflows. In addition, Streem can create multiple scan templates for Xerox MFD's, each corresponding to a different Streem application.
- Added support for ‘Email to Fax’ utilizing a built-in SMTP server
- Elimination of the requirement for Microsoft MAPI, thus improving product stability
- The latest firmware updates for the Brooktrout voice/fax hardware, providing greater functionality and reliability
Customers covered under a current support contract are eligible to upgrade to Streem version 6.35 at no charge, provided the existing software is within the current version (6.3 – 6.34) of the software purchased. Customers with software below 6.3, or not under a current support contract, may be eligible to trade in and upgrade, however additional charges may apply.
New and enhanced application modules are also available for purchase. If you have purchased one of the modules previously, you may be eligible to receive the latest version at no charge.
- Streamlined Streem Print module
- The "Print to Fax" installation provides a simpler configuration on the desktop, as there are fewer to no parameters to configure on each desktop.
- New Streem Alert module
- The Streem Alert notification module notifies branches, departments, businesses, communities, and the public quickly through automated broadcasts of voice, fax, text, and email messages, incorporating automatic conversion of text to voice.
