Core Programs

UCCnet Primer
One day of remote, baseline UCCnet education for business and technical team members, including:

  • Item Registration and Maintenance
  • Item Notifications
  • Retailer business processes and responses
  • Supplier business processes and responses

Data Sync Boot Camp
One day of remote training covering UCCnet implementation planning. Based on the trading partner’s unique operating environment and business processes, Data Sync Boot Camp evaluates the expected impact of UCCnet and data synchronization on existing business processes and stake holders, including:

  • Customer’s unique business and technical issues surrounding item maintenance
  • Impact of UCCnet processing on retail customer relations
  • The best strategy for collecting compliant item information in short and long term
  • Potential sources for data not currently maintained in core business applications
  • Team organization, including key contacts

SCS Quick Start
Quick Start is a two day program that augments basic Synchronized Commerce Service product training and assists trading partners with quick, seamless publication of product item data to GLOBALregistry™ and customers. Trading partner will successfully publish core and extended attribute data to UCCnet or data pool, and a customer. A combination of remote and/or on-site services are provided, including:

  • Teleconference review of Quick Start training and the trading partner’s unique operating environment and business processes.
  • Two hour “webinar” on UCCnet, including How It Works, Data Sync Messaging, How to Subscribe, Common Terms, Securing a GLN(s), GTIN Hierarchy and Construction, and Data Sync Strategies.
  • Two days of on-site training, product configuration, data integration, test, and publication covering
  • Data Sync Project Plan Schedule and Milestones
    • “Source Data” development strategy review
    • Application of SCS product features and functions to trading partner data sync deployment
    • Customer synchronization roll-out plans
    • Installation and configuration of SCS
    • End-to-end connection and message testing with UCCnet (or data pool) with or without AS2

Extended Training & Consulting

Extended training & consulting options are available. Programs are customized to your unique business requirements and quoted upon request.

Custom Data Mapping
Custom translation from an internal data format to EDI document, Excel worksheet, or catalog database.

Workflow and Process Management
Assists trading partners with planning for the impact of UCCnet and data synchronization on existing business processes. Includes business process gap analysis, identifying new product items to be synchronized, and product item data maintenance requirements for UCCnet participation. Deliverables include:

  • Identifying various processes that trigger updates to UCCnet and trading partners
  • Identifying which application processes impact item attributes
  • Recommendations on tactical changes required when a major retailer is implemented in UCCnet
  • Recommendations for further analysis pre-requisite to long-term process changes

Backend Integration
Assists trading partners with identification of source data for UCCnet synchronization, and how the data integrates into UCCnet related processes.

GTIN Architecture and Organization
Assists trading partners with understanding GTIN structures and Sunrise 2005 requirements, including concepts like item hierarchy, UDEX classification scheme, GLN’s, and unique requirements for private label products.

Extended Data Sync Consulting
Assists trading partners with other customer data requirements that goes beyond the data communicated through UCCnet.
