VersaLex Earns Drummond Certification for Global ebXML Interoperability:

Cleo LexiCom and VLTrader now adhere to latest ebMS Messaging specifications

Rockford, IL— Cleo® Communications, a leading provider of data communications products and services since the mid 1980’s, today announced that VersaLex™ v3.5 achieved the latest Drummond Certification™ for ebXML Message Service (ebMS) interoperability. VersaLex is Cleo’s secure Internet communications technology that powers Cleo’s client-based software, LexiCom™, as well as Cleo’s managed file transfer solution, VersaLex Trader (VLTrader™).

Cleo was among six participants to receive certification for ebMS-4Q07. VersaLex underwent several rounds of rigorous testing to verify certificate and data exchange, security, compression, and receipt capabilities. This round of testing also included a new optional test which validated using the DSA with SHA-1 algorithm for digitally signing ebMS messages over both HTTP and HTTP/S. In previous testing rounds only the RSA with SHA1 algorithm had been tested. Cleo also received certification in the optional industry profile tests for Automotive Retail and XML Encryption.

Major industries including automotive, financial services, government and healthcare rely on ebMS as a secure, interoperable communications protocol. Certified interoperability saves buyers time, money and frustration by knowing that the products will work to specifications and will interoperate successfully with one another.
