Cleo's Streem Fax server software integrates with Microsoft Exchange (Outlook), Lotus Notes, GroupWise, and also may be integrated with virtually any simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP) mail server, acting as the fax gateway through which outgoing faxes are sent and incoming faxes are delivered.

Cleo's Streem Network Fax servers support several methods of inbound fax routing. Sending a fax is quick and easy! Simply create a new e-mail message from the e-mail client and enter the fax number in the ‘To' address field, or choose a fax address from the Address Book. A message can be included in the body of the e-mail and will appear on the fax cover page, or users can choose to have a custom cover page. Attachments to the e-mail are added as additional pages of the fax document. Once sent, files are converted to fax format by the fax server software prior to transmission. Notification of delivery is sent to the user as an e-mail message.
